Tarts! Possibly the easiest, most beautiful little desserts one can make. It’s amazing how delicious something so simple can taste. Whenever I go fruit picking—whether its for June’s ripe strawberries, August’s juicy peaches, or early October’s crisp apples—I always try to whip up a couple of little tarts once I get home. Local fruit doused in varying combinations of raw granulated sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and jelly/preserves then delicately placed on homemade dough or thawed puff pastry is usually all it takes. Photographed and posted here is a peach and berry summer tart as well as three apple rose tarts with homemade caramel filling. Though I really just winged it, below are a couple recipes that my readers might like to refer to if replicating these awesome tarts.
